Dacia is preparing a significant update for its popular seven-seater, the Jogger, with a revamped design and an upgraded hybrid powertrain set to arrive in the UK by 2026. The facelifted model maintains Dacia’s commitment to affordability, starting at just £18,995 – only slightly more expensive than the current version.

Enhanced Exterior Design

The 2026 Jogger features a more modern exterior, including new LED light signatures, a reshaped grille, and updated alloy wheel options. Dacia has also introduced a new “sandstone metallic” paint finish alongside the existing six colors. Notably, the rugged plastic wheel arch cladding has been replaced with “Starkle” material, a durable composite made from 20% recycled plastic. This aligns with Dacia’s growing emphasis on sustainability.

Interior Upgrades and Tech

Inside, the Jogger receives a larger 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, replacing the older eight-inch unit. Upholstery has been upgraded for improved durability, and the car now includes four “YouClip” mounting points for customizable accessories like smartphone holders and cupholders. The steering wheel has also been updated with a simplified Dacia logo.

Trim Levels and Pricing

Dacia will offer the Jogger in three trims: Essential, Expression, and Extreme.

  • Essential (starting at £18,995) includes LED lights, manual air conditioning, and basic safety features.
  • Expression (from £20,295) adds body-color detailing, automatic climate control, and the upgraded touchscreen infotainment system.
  • Extreme (starting at £21,595) boasts copper accents, alloy wheels, heated seats, and additional tech like a wireless smartphone charger and integrated sat-nav.

Powertrain Options

The standard engine remains the TCe 110, a 108bhp turbocharged three-cylinder paired with a six-speed manual transmission. However, the major upgrade is the new Hybrid 155 powertrain, previously found in the Bigster and Duster. This system combines a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with a 1.4kWh battery and electric motor, delivering 155bhp – an 18bhp increase over the previous hybrid model.

The Hybrid 155 improves fuel economy to 61mpg and reduces emissions by around 10%, with a 0-62mph time of nine seconds. This hybrid option is available on Expression and Extreme trims for an additional £3,035.

The Jogger’s continued success hinges on its affordability and practicality. In a market increasingly dominated by SUVs, Dacia’s commitment to offering a budget-friendly, seven-seater MPV stands out. The updated hybrid powertrain further enhances its appeal, providing a more efficient option without sacrificing the value proposition that has made the Jogger so popular.
