Infiniti QX65: A Sportier Take on Luxury

Infiniti’s upcoming QX65 crossover coupe blends modern design with a nod to the brand’s history. The vehicle’s exterior styling draws inspiration from the original FX model, launched in 2002, which pioneered the crossover coupe segment.

Key Design Features

The QX65 introduces a new exterior color, Sunfire Red, inspired by the iconic Regal Red paint from the Nissan GT-R. The high-end Autograph trim level stands out with a distinctive two-tone finish thanks to a black roof. Additional upscale details, such as an illuminated emblem on the grille, reinforce the vehicle’s premium positioning.

Mechanical Similarities and Adjustments

Underneath the sleek exterior, the QX65 shares a mechanical base with the QX60 model. However, the QX65 distinguishes itself by eliminating the third row of seating found in the QX60, focusing on a more streamlined, two-row configuration.

Infiniti has recalibrated the powertrain for more aggressive downshifting during braking. While the 2.0-liter engine delivers the same power output as the QX60, this tuning adjustment enhances the driving experience.

The QX65 is a strategic move by Infiniti, capitalizing on the growing demand for stylish, sporty crossovers without compromising on luxury. This approach aims to attract buyers who prioritize aesthetics and performance over maximum passenger capacity.
