BYD has launched the Song Ultra EV in China, positioning it as a compelling option in the growing electric SUV market. The vehicle uses BYD’s Short Blade Battery 2.0, with capacities of 68.4 kWh (620 km CLTC range) and 82.7 kWh (710 km CLTC range). Charging from 10% to 70% takes only 5 minutes, though cold temperatures (-30°C) can increase this by approximately 3 minutes.
Safety and Driver Assistance
All variants include seven airbags, a tire blowout stability system, and the DiSus-C intelligent damping system with a McPherson front and five-link rear suspension. An optional DiPilot 300 system adds lidar and 27 sensors, enabling city and highway navigation assist, as well as automated parking. These features position the Song Ultra EV as a competitive option in terms of safety and convenience.
