Singer Unveils First 710-HP DLS Turbo: “The Sorcerer”

13

Singer Vehicle Design has delivered its first customer car under the DLS Turbo Services program, a reimagined Porsche 964 dubbed “The Sorcerer.” This high-performance machine pays tribute to the legendary 1977 Porsche 934/5 race car, boasting a twin-turbocharged engine and aggressive track-focused styling.

From 964 to 710 Horsepower

Singer’s process begins with a customer-owned 964-generation Porsche 911. Owners can choose between track or road-focused builds. “The Sorcerer” is a track-oriented machine, sporting a prominent rear wing reminiscent of the 934/5. The chassis undergoes full disassembly, inspection, and reinforcement to handle the increased power. A lightweight carbon fiber body is then fitted over the strengthened structure.

The Heart of the Beast

The centerpiece is a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, pushing out 710 horsepower and over 550 lb-ft of torque. The engine revs past 9,000 rpm, delivering brutal performance. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. Stopping power comes from carbon-ceramic brakes paired with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged magnesium wheels.

Aesthetics and Refinement

The owner of “The Sorcerer” opted for a striking Fantasia Blue paint scheme that transitions to a darker shade towards the rear. The interior features Pearl Grey upholstery, providing a clean contrast. Despite its track focus, the car is equipped with modern amenities, including a nose lift system, Apple CarPlay, air conditioning, and navigation.

Driving Dynamics and Cost

Singer has integrated five selectable drive modes—Road, Sport, Track, Weather, and Off—to manage traction control. The company hasn’t disclosed the exact cost of the commission, but it is expected to be well into seven figures.

Singer’s DLS Turbo Services program transforms classic Porsche 911s into modern masterpieces, blending heritage with extreme performance. “The Sorcerer” sets a high standard for future customer builds.

This car isn’t just a restomod; it’s a statement. It represents the ultimate blend of Porsche history and uncompromising performance, offering a driving experience that few can match.
