Zeekr, the emerging electric vehicle brand, has launched a blacked-out special edition of its 7X SUV, targeting buyers who prefer a bolder aesthetic. The 7X Black Special Edition is priced at $75,900 (before on-road costs), representing a $3,000 premium over the standard Performance variant.
What Sets It Apart?
The Black Special Edition focuses on cosmetic enhancements rather than mechanical changes. Key additions include:
- 20-inch black alloy wheels
- Onyx gloss exterior paint
- Gloss black trim on front/rear bumpers and lower door sections
- Black roof rails
- Black Nappa leather upholstery
Underneath the dark styling, the 7X Black Edition retains the Performance model’s high-performance specifications. This means it shares the same 800V electrical architecture, dual-motor all-wheel drive system, and 420kW DC fast-charging capability.
Performance and Range
The Zeekr 7X Black Special Edition delivers the same performance figures as its standard counterpart:
- 475kW of power
- 710Nm of torque
- 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.8 seconds
- WLTP range of 543km
The vehicle also includes advanced features such as air suspension, continuous damping control, and automatic doors.
Interior Luxury
The interior is equipped with premium features:
- Panoramic glass roof
- 36.2-inch head-up display
- 13.02-inch digital instrument cluster
- 16-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Heated leather steering wheel
- Power-adjustable front seats (14-way driver, 10-way passenger) with memory, heating, and ventilation.
Market Performance
Despite being a relatively new entrant, the Zeekr 7X has quickly gained traction in the EV market. In 2025, it sold 1,206 units, outperforming rivals such as the Volkswagen ID.4, Toyota bZ4X, and Hyundai Ioniq 5. As of February 2026, the 7X has sold 1,046 units, making it the third best-selling mid-size electric SUV behind the BYD Sealion 7 and Tesla Model Y. It also exceeds the sales figures of premium competitors like the Lexus NX and BMW X3.
Zeekr’s rapid market penetration demonstrates the growing demand for high-performance, feature-rich EVs that offer a compelling alternative to established brands.
