It’s cheap for an executive sedan
Look at that car park. You see the Audis? The BMWs? That’s the world this machine inhabits. Classy. Aloof. A bit of panache in every curve. But you don’t need a corporate allowance to park it there anymore. Not if you use Auto Express.
We found an Audi A6 S line for under £400.
Specifically £398.48. A month.
The math works
Here’s the catch. The entry fee stings. Just a bit.
£5,081.66 upfront. Twelve months worth. That might scare you off. Maybe. If so, cut the term. Pay £4,222.69 for nine months. The monthly payment bumps up to £435.38. Still manageable.
Still a steal.
£5k upfront sounds like a lot. It is. Until you see what you drive.
It’s the right version
There’s a twist in the Audi lineup. They call both versions “A6” now.
Confusing. Yes. One is petrol/diesel/hybrid. The other is fully electric, called the A6 e-tron. You don’t get the EV. You get the plug-in hybrid (PHEV).
Better option, arguably.
It has a 2.0-liter engine. Four cylinders. It also has an electric motor pushing 73 horsepower. Quattro four-wheel drive handles the traction. The battery gives you a 64-mile range on pure juice. Audi claims over 120 mpg. Don’t laugh. You just have to plug it in. Every single time. Can you? Maybe.
The trim is S line. Sporty. Middle of the road pricing. Bottom of the road boredom? No.
You get sharper body bits. Lower suspension. Heated front seats. Dark rear glass. A big 14.5-inch screen. Even rear-wheel steering, which makes a long sedan dance like a hatchback in tight corners.
Why look elsewhere?
Auto Express picks these from their buying service. We comb through UK dealers and leasers. This one is current. It’s good.
Prices change. Stocks run out.
If this slips through your fingers, check their Audi page. There will be others. There usually are.
